Morphett Vale CFS now recruiting
Added 29/1/12

The Morphett Vale CFS brigade will be conducting an information session for anyone interested in joining the brigade on Wednesday the 21st of March at 1930 hours at the fire station.

Interested people that meet the following criteria are asked to contact the brigade  and complete an 'Expression of Interest' form:

  • You live within a 4 minute radius of the station;

  • You are physically fit and healthy;

  • You are able to attend training on Monday evenings and some Wednesday evenings (during your initial recruit training).

  • You are able to respond to the station to attend incidents

  • You are over 16 years of age

  • You are able to produce 100 points of ID and pass a police clearance

Those that meet the criteria will then be invited to attend the recruiting information session where you will find out what the Country Fire Service does as well as the training involved and the type of equipment that we use. An informal interview will be held as well as a tour of the fire station and the fire appliances. The brigade leadership will then select the most appropriate personnel to undertake the recruit training program.

If you have previously filled out an 'Expression of Interest' to join the brigade, you will receive a letter inviting you to attend the information session. If you do not attend the session and do not contact us we will take this as an indication that you are no longer interested in joining the brigade.

Any enquiries can be made by calling the brigade on 08 8382 8489 or via email at mvcfsenquiry@gmail.com. Further information is also available via the 'Recruiting' link on our website.
